Hello, everyone! First, I congratulate the new version of runeaudio! And thank you very much!
The construction of the file is just different from the version until the before by this new version, isn't it? Therefore I have trouble with tuning up.
This my question is a way of indication of a mouse cursor. It was possible to take out a cursor by rewriting of '/root/.xinitrc' by the old version, but '/root/.xinitrc' isn't found by the new version.
Please give counsel.

Hi ayase1121,

It was possible to take out a cursor by rewriting of '/root/.xinitrc' by the old version, but '/root/.xinitrc' isn't found by the new version.

The file has moved to:
Code: Select all
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc

Hi pba
pba wrote:Frank did integrate xbindkeys for the first time in his image dated march 16 (here). xbindkeys did only start if local browser was enabled.
Because Midori would not work with the current version of Linux it was replaced with Chomium in RuneAudio 0.5. The code to start xbindkeys is still in place, as in 0.4. We have not tested xbindkeys with 0.5, hopefully it will still work.
hondagx35 wrote:I did a short test:
Nov 21 18:35:41 runeaudio xinit[634]: Error : /tmp/chromium/.xbindkeysrc not found or reading not allowed.
So it seems that the config file is missing or not at the right place.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Frank, it seems that we forgot to create the config file.
What you need to do is log in with SSH and run the following command:
Code: Select all
xbindkeys --defaults > /root/.xbindkeysrc
Then you need to modify the configuration file to contain your settings:
Code: Select all
nano /root/.xbindkeysrc
You should finish off with the following command to set the correct permissions
Code: Select all
chmod 644 /root/.xbindkeysrc
Then reboot.

Hello!
I use raspberry pie 3B. And a liquid crystal display of external is being linked. The resolution of the display is 1920 x 1080, but even if it's set as its resolution, a right screen doesn't go out.
The screen won't be the full screen, and a gap is uncrowded in left, right, up or down. It develops in the side. The indicated character is also difficult to spread and see.
Where should I set?
It took one night yesterday, and I tried arrangement, but it was the result satisfied neither.
Is there a good plan?

Yes, I am already working on this. The fixes in 0.21.2 are very interesting for us all.
Please don't expect too much from the new Tidal, Google or Qobuz plug-ins. These will not work without a suitable UI, which is currently not available.
Streaming Tidal from another device already works via UPnP/DLNA, see here: post26361.html?hilit=Tidal#p26361 and here: post25988.html?hilit=Tidal#p25464 (for 0.5 it's already built in).

To modify resolution for the screen you need to log in with SSH and modify /etc/X11/xinit/start_chromium.sh with the command:
Code: Select all
nano /etc/X11/xinit/start_chromium.sh
The line which needs changing looks like this:
Code: Select all
chromium --app=http://localhost --start-fullscreen --force-device-scale-factor=1.8
For a 2.5 inch screen you should modify it to look something like this:
Code: Select all
chromium --app=http://localhost --start-fullscreen --force-device-scale-factor=.5
And for a 7 inch screen it should look something like this:
Code: Select all
chromium --app=http://localhost --start-fullscreen --force-device-scale-factor=.7
Use <ctrl>O then <ctrl>X to save the changes or just <ctrl>X to exit without changing the file.
You may need to experiment with other values of the scale-factor to get it perfect. I am not sure how many decimal places are supported.
A reboot is required to activate the new settings.

Hej,
so thanks for the effort and also for porting it to my old RPI-1 which I tested and can give an ACK as in acknowledged working :)

Of course its slow but that's not the point =) also I wanted to know if the multi-room feature which was somewhere in the forum will come to this release?
Because, this way I might be able to offload the heavy duty HDD indexing to another more potent device and still use the Hifiberry DAC on the RPI1.

Is that the only way to use Spotify with runeaudio?

I tried other ways but failed.
