How old is your Kali? IIRC the very first batch of Kali's had a hardware issue that caused the symptoms you describe.

I received kali and dac last week. I also tried to contact Allo but no response. I'm sure now it's an hardware issue, also with volumio the same.
thank you for your feedback.

I tried to play music from external hdd and from usb stick, but nothing happens. I tried to reboot it 5 times, but nothing happens.
And one more thing, BROWSE YOUR LIBRARY window is often empty. There is literally nothing there except the title. I thought it was my adblocker that's making problems, so I turned it off, but the same thing happens. Sometimes I can open BROWSE YOUR LIBRARY window normally, but sometimes it's just blank. I have no idea what it depends on.

This is definitively the last time I respond to a topic that doesn't contain the necessary information!
To get the best possible support, please specify your hardware and RuneAudio version. Collecting debug info is also suggested.

Frank

Hardware is raspberry pi 3 with hifiberry dac+ pro.
The version is downloaded from the link you provided:
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B5E5WDN- ... t=download
I can't provide debug info because I'm getting this message:
Your message contains 92635 characters. The maximum number of allowed characters is 60000.

If you post your debug data using the Code Tags

, you won't have that limitation.

Hi Igor,

all looks well.

After installation I had very very silent sound although the volume was at 100

Before switching off volume control you have to set it to 100%.
Please try this:
- enable hardware volume control and ramp up volume to 100%
- if you like set volume control back to disabled

The time is just stuck at 00:00. And stop button looks like it's frozen, everytime I press PLAY, it doesn't start, PLAY button is highlighted just for a moment, and then STOP button is highlighted again.

Please try this:
- enable "HDMI & 3,5mm jack" on the settings page and reboot.
- go to MENU->MPD and switch once to Analog and back to your Hifiberry.
- disable "HDMI & 3,5mm jack" if you like

I did some testing on my RP3 with Hifiberry DAC+ pro and it works like it should!

Hi Frank,
I already did that the first time.

I did everything you told me in order you told me. I left hardware volume enabled and "HDMI & 3,5mm jack" enabled too.
I switched to analog and back to hifiberry dac+ and rebooted it and nothing's changed.
And still BROWSE YOUR LIBRARY window is empty.

Hi Igor,

and rebooted it and nothing's changed.

Are you talking about the volume and / or empty library?

And still BROWSE YOUR LIBRARY window is empty.

I guess you try to connect via "http://runeaudio", right?

Try the IP or "http://runeaudio." instead.
