Did the image change in the last 2-3 days? I had to redo everything and downloaded the image again. But it looks somehow very different. For starters I can't find the hifiberry setting in the config.txt anymore...

is it possible using Shairport Sync instead of Shairport for your next release?

Yes, and it is already installed on this version but not enabled.
We have to find a way to integrate it in our UI first.

Nice to hear, keep up the good work!

Is there a new beta release on the way?

No, it did not. Go to Menu->Settings and enable your DAC from the I2S dropdown.

I'm really confused and embarrassed. I might be totally wrong here, but I am sure I downloaded this image a few days ago an I found the following lines in the config.txt:

Code: Select all
# Uncomment one of these lines to enable an audio interface
#dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus
#dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi
#dtoverlay=hifiberry-amp
#dtoverlay=iqaudio-dac
#dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus

Without setting dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus I could not see hifiberry in MPD Settings.
Now these lines of code are gone and in the MPD Settings there is only Raspberry Pi Analog and HDMI out.

Edit: OK I found the DACPlus setting in settings. It might have confused two 0.4 Beta versions.

I hope we can publish it soon (thanks gearhead).

Great!

Who should I contact to get my dirty hands on an early build so I can help with testing?

Cheers!

I'm having only running webradio at the moment and there is no music from nas in queue list. Only if I shutdown rune, 20 minutes later nas starts hibernating...

Still got the issue with my Synology NAS and it makes me nuts.
I'm using runeaudio with webradio and it runs 24/7.
It prevents my NAS from hibernating but doesn't access the network shares from it, so there's no connecting that I can see in the protocol list in Synology DSM.
If I shutdown rune and start again it doesn't stop hibernating the NAS for almost 3-4 days but than it starts to begin again.

Image works great so far except the boot splash screen in my case.
I have a waveshare 3.5 Touchscreen on my Pi3 but on startup there is no boot screen shown (only works with HDMI I suppose). Maybe a simple cfg change to get it work? :D What package is used for the splash screen?
