Thanks! :)
Knocked it up out of some scraps of cedar and a small piece of mdf.
The black plastic case is this https://www.jaycar.com.au/snap-fit-abs-enclosure-70-6-x-105-x-50-5-mm/p/HB6009, with the bottom cut out and mounted from within the timber case.
The whole thing sits on a very simple stand that puts it at a friendly angle to use, and so I can easily pick it up and pop off the back if need be.

Frank,

Don't know if you want to hear about this here or through PM. I burned a new SD card with your image for the Pi2/3 just to see if I was doing something wrong and the behavior is the same. If I enable shairport from the settings page and connect a device. The music plays, the 'playback source' shows airplay but the UI gets the spinning circles. When I check the service, I get this response.

Code: Select all
● shairport.service - Shairport AirTunes receiver
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/shairport.service; disabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: active (running) since Mon 2016-02-22 08:40:24 CST; 1 years 2 months ago
 Main PID: 465 (shairport)
    Tasks: 5 (limit: 512)
   CGroup: /system.slice/shairport.service
           └─465 /usr/bin/shairport -w --name=RuneAudio (AirPlay) --on-start=$ON --on-stop=$OFF --meta-dir=/var/run/shairport -o alsa -- -d plughw:0,0

Hi all,

i have downloaded the 0.4 beta and try to install it (via Win32DiskImage) to a 16 GB SD card and to a 16 GB USB Stick, but no luke. After Win32DiskImage says written successfull the SD Card as well as the USB Stick are empty.
To try and check if the SD Card and the USB Stick are not broken, i have installet the raspian image, this works very well on the SD card and the USB Stick.

What is the issue with the 0.4 beta image?

Thank you!

I did a little more digging on the shairport problem. If I load either the master or 0.4b from your git repository, shairport will work, but the spinning discs are there and there is no 'now playing info'. If I revert to the 0.3 UI from https://github.com/RuneAudio/RuneUI.git, the 'now playing' data and album cover are back and no more spinning discs.

Hi Keith,

on the 04b image you have two versions of the background worker rune_PL_wrk.
Please try to use the old one.

Code: Select all
mv /srv/http/command/rune_PL_wrk /var/www/command/rune_PL_wrk.bak
mv /var/www/command/rune_PL_wrk.old /var/www/command/rune_PL_wrk

Is there a list from items being fixed for this 0.4 beta, before becoming the official release?

When I revert to the old rune_PL_wrk, it fixes the problem with shairport. I get album art, song, artist and time, again. No more spinning circles.
But, if I stop the shairport from the 'settings' tab and restart it, I get the spinning discs and this error, though, when I check the service:
Code: Select all

If I restart all the services (SY, PL, PHP) and I was able to get the now playing info back but if I refresh the page while a song is playing, I get the spinning circles until the next song starts. If I stop Airplay then play something from my NAS then go back to Shairport, I get the spinning circles and no 'now playing' info. I have to stop shairport, delete /run/shairport/now_playing, restart the services and then I get the shairport info again. FYI.

I recognize your Airport problem therefore my question if there's a bugfix list for this 0.4 beta release before releasing it officially.

I agree with vhond. A bugfix list would be awesome. It is usually easier if all the problems are on one list. I am not totally sure, but it appears that, because this is a fork of the original RuneUI, you cannot create an 'issue' in this fork. If you go to the original RuneAudio git, you can log an issue. It appears that someone has tagged some of the issues as 0.4 which indicates that these are the issues which are being considered/worked on for 0.4. There are a lot of 'issues' there. Some of them have been fixed in Frank's fork. A scrub of this issues list and possibly putting Frank's fork there as 0.4b may be useful/helpful. I do not know of this is possible, though.

Is that the preferred method of logging bugs (logging an issue on https://github.com/RuneAudio/RuneUI)?
