Purpose of user 'frank' in RPi3 image

Postby ondrada » 02 Jun 2017, 22:50

Hello,

I have just installed latest Rune on my Pi3. During an "initial survey" of the underlying system, I've found active user named 'frank' able to login via ssh.

Has this user some important purpose, is he needed for smooth run of something, or can be safely deleted? Can I at least remove his password?

That account is usable as an backdoor, when someone discovers Frank's password. I would like to try Rune as remotely controllable player for some events in our theatre, so that I need as secure system as possible. I wouldn't like to look as dumbass in confrontation with a smartphone equipped geek-visitor :)

Hi ondrada,

the user can be deleted without issues.
I have forgotten to delete it before publishing the image.
