Proper Shutdown for Pi 3

Postby Casper26 » 22 Oct 2017, 21:55

Hi all,

I recently finished a Pi/DAC/Amp contraption and have a question regarding the proper way to shutdown Rune OS.

As it is installed now I turn off my Amp via a power button I installed on the case and then I have to shutdown the Pi from within the web interface to then disconnect the power form the it.

I would like to install a power switch that would properly run the shutdown sequence for the OS, is there any way I could do this?

I have looked a bit in other forums regarding this topic and it seems I could wire the button to pins 5 and 6 and then tweak the code but I have no clue what kind of tweak I would need to do to the Rune OS.

Hi Casper26,
Take a look at this, maybe it will give you some idea's: runeui-gpio-for-power-on-off-audio-equipments-t4262.html#p18793
Be carefull, high voltage equipment can be dangerous.

Thank you so much!
I will purchase the relay board and rewire my unit.

I did not know that controlling all the equipment from within the OS was a possibility.
