Problem installing. Ask for login, Password, and more.

Hello Rune Audio and Raspberry Pi world,

I am new to all this jazz and need some help. Been trying to istall rune for two days now and to no avail.

I place the SD card into the pi, turn it one, it run and it eventually asks for:

runeaudio login: (where I types root)
Password: (where I type rune)

Then is say RuneOS Distrabution, followed by a image that says runeaudio, and the infromation on the build and ui.

Then it asks for

[root@runeaudio ~]#

I have no idea what to put here, or what I did wrong.

I am stuck, and everything i read say it should not be asking me for a login or password to begin with. Can someone please help me.

Sorry again if this is a stupid question.

Hi,

There is no user interface on the unit it self. Its a headless server.

On your computer (not on the pi) type http://runeaudio.local in to your browser. that will take you to the user interface.

If that doesn't work its because you don't have the Apple bonjur client installed. But you can connect over the pi's IP.

There is a few different ways to do this to find the IP, but I'm assuming that you have a screen connected to the PI so we can get it form the pi it self.
type and run: ifconfig

Find the entry on the resulting list called inet. that is your IP. Enter that in to your browser.

Would that be : ipconfig ?

I had the same thing until I realised that the login was asked on the PI screen.
This can be ignored, just use the webinteface to control Rune!

Enjoy
