PlainAmp from PolyVection works fine with Raspberry 3 and "RuneAudio_rpi2_rp3_0.4-beta_20160321_2GB" image.
Just uncomment "dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus" and turn on the Hardware Volume.
The sound is way better then the Pi Analog Out.
