I've been trying to get things working on my odroid c2. What I am trying to do is use it as a upnp renderer using jriver as a server. The two problems i'm seeing are:

- I get playback issues where a file won't play all the through and then goes to the beginning of the track
- when a track is playing, I'm unable the scan ahead or backwards within a track.

Any thoughts? I'm using a usb dac. Are there upmpdcli adjustments I can make to help things?

thanks!

Hi gabeg,

- I get playback issues where a file won't play all the through and then goes to the beginning of the track

please read this.

- when a track is playing, I'm unable the scan ahead or backwards within a track.

This is also a known bug, but i have no solution for it at the moment.
Seams to be a mpd problem.

In various threads, even devices I am aware you are really busy Frank @hondagx35 . So whether we may have the next update version of Rune for C2? At my end, C2/Rune played well for me only via I2S connection, not for dac via usb as that connection is quite distorted for me for 16/44.1 and DSD playing, surprisingly that it is fine for 24/96/192 playing... no idea is why :)

Hi dunghnguyen,

So whether we may have the next update version of Rune for C2?

Making a new image wouldn't be a problem at all, but:
- I do not own any USB-DAC beside a very cheap one (works without any problems on C2)
- i have no access to a Waveshare TFT anymore (see other C2 thread)

So i'm unable to test and fix these issues at the moment.

The only thing we can try is to update the kernel and firmware.
Code: Select all
pacman -S linux-odroid-c2 ....

This is not tested and may break your system.

Hi Frank,

We understand what situation you are facing when fix issues we found.
As you find, I and some others active guy already commit to you that
we will help you test some hardware and provide debug info.
We would like to see RuneAudio better and better, and more and more people will choose it as ultimate player.

A hardware compatibility list and bug fix log can give Important info to new comers.
It will release some effort of you to reply some noted and fixed issue.
We believe bug fix is a hard task, we hope we can give our little bit contribution.

Best Regards
smallfat

@smallfat: let him take time at his most convenience. I "show up" a bit my one C2 transport via I2S to 2 dac boards: pcm5102 + es9023. DIP switches are used to select one either to decode :)

Hi,
in the "Settings" menu of RuneUI , I can't find the "COMPATIBILITY FIXES" section (http://www.runeaudio.com/documentation/ ... lity-fixes) where it should be possible to enable the fix for DAC based on CM6631 chip.
I own a Burson Conductor, with CM6631 receiver, which is connected to the C2 usb and produce clicks and pops during playback.

The fix is not implemented for the RuneAudio image for C2?

P.S. I also expect the latest image for C2 ;)

Thanks!

Hi ,

I can't find the "COMPATIBILITY FIXES" section

For some reason (i don't know why) this feature hasn't found its way into all the newer images (not only C2).

I try to implement it within the next image.
