No Sound after changing "sound signature" (solved)

Postby seahill1987 » 19 Aug 2016, 12:12

Hi, I'm using Musical Paradise MP-D1 mk2 DAC with the lastest version Runeaudio for Pi2.
After changing the "sound signature", there is no sound coming out even though the music is playing.
Problem solve after I re-install the Rune Audio, but the same problem occur if I change the "sound signature" again.

I tried the same setting with other device and they are working fine.
1. Rune Audio - iFi Micro iDSD
2. PC (foobar) - MP-D1 mk2

I've tried Volumio, it's also working fine.

The designer of Musical Paradise told me that there might be some bug from Rune Audio. It will mute the volume.
May I know is there anyway do avoid this?

Hi seahill1987,

instead of posting your problem twice it would be better to attach your debug data (as mentioned on the "post a reply" page.

To get the best possible support, please specify your hardware and RuneAudio version. Collecting debug info is also suggested.

You should copy your debug data after the sound signature switch!

Next thing is to get access to the console and check "alsamixer".

Hi, sorry for that. I try to copy b4 but it seems too long. The system won't allow me to paste it. Will try again later. Thanks!

Hi Frank, thanks for your help. I tried to google the keyword "alsamixer" and found out where's the problem already. The DAC was muted after changing sound signature. I just key in "m" to switch on the volume and everything is fine now :)
