Newbie Raspberry Pi3 Wifi unstable issue

Postby cyjoe » 28 Mar 2017, 08:06

Hi,

I am now using Raspberry Pi 3 with RuneAudio 0.4-beta.
I use windows 10 share folder as Source.
I am now only use ear jack to hear music.

When Rpi3 switch to Wifi mode, the music would drop and resume a few seconds(especially when I use computer).
However, Rpi3 switch to Ethernet cable mode, it is no problem and stable.

Can I set buffer size or something else to improve Wifi condition?

Hi cyjoe,

the internal wifi (RP3) isn't the best at all.
For me it works only reliable with a very strong wifi signal (short distances).
You can try to use a usb wifi dongle.
Before doing that you should disable the onboard wifi first.

Thank you your fast response!

I would try later. And I really enjoy the sound quality of Runeaudio + Rasberry Pi 3!
