Network Issue

Postby paulg05 » 13 May 2017, 08:26

Hello Everybody,
I've just upgraded my povo iiNet supplied modem Router to a new Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 , i'm now unable to access RuneUI.
When i plug my Cat5 cable in between my Raspberry Pi and the Netgear a solid orange light appears for that Port it is connected to.
( i need to access the RuneUI as i have lost my IP address on my phone where i control my music from )
Somebody who knows what setting i need to change on the Netgear Genie Software would be greatly appreciated .
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul, just a thought; that isn't a cat5 crossover cable (tx/rx reversed) by any chance? It would be a standard cat5 cable that is needed. Sorry, don't know how you would check other than trying a different cable.
As I say, just a thought.
Mark.

To cut a long story short. Problem has been solved. At some stage i gave the Pi a Static IP Address and since my new router couldn't find it i decided to reformat the card and start from scratch.
