Is Rune Audio for Me?

Postby WHAMMO! » 24 May 2017, 13:00

I have an old console stereo that I want to bring into the 21st century and Rune Audio caught my eye. I have the latest version of the Pi 3 and software. Will I be able to do the following:

Play files from a SD USB stick?
Drive a 40 x 2 LCD screen?
Play Pandora and other streaming radio stations?

I would want to program in C/C++ whatever is not native to the RuneAudio flavor of Linux I guess it is? I get my Pi later today so I haven't installed it yet. I understand the Pi supports HDMI out to a compatible screen, but the Amber 40 x 2 LCD better fits the aesthetic I am going for.

Play Pandora and other streaming radio stations?

Radio streams can be added by dirble or manually.
