how to use cron

Postby Elliott B » 15 Jan 2014, 20:30

Some of my media is stored on a different server, which I like to mount using SSHFS. On other systems, I would add the following to my crontab to mount it at boot, and symlink that into my MPD music directory. But in Rune, the crontab isn't working, although I can manually enter that command just fine. I think it's related to the fact that I'm running as root by default, but I'm not sure how to make this work.
Code: Select all
@reboot sshfs elliott@192.168.x.x /media/music-box -o allow_other

Hi Elliot B,
excuse me for this very late answer, I've completely missed your post, sorry.
CRON is disabled on our distribution, but you can re-enable it with this command:

Code: Select all
systemctl enable cronie
systemctl start cronie

I want to take this opportunity to tell you that SSHFS mount support via GUI is on the way...so stay tuned.

Bye.
