Glitching On Radio Streams

Postby R101 » 18 Aug 2018, 15:21

I am finding that some radio streams play OK for about 68 seconds, and then start glitching constantly. It does not seem to be codec related, and the only common factor I can see is that they are 320k stations which display meta-data. This started happening within the last week.

Compressed local network files play without problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've had problems with 320k feeds played via MPD. They last longer than 68 seconds but do frequently drop out and aren't reliable. The same feeds via Minim server will play all day and that's what I now use.

This only started recently for me, so I am assuming something has affected a buffer. All BBC feeds are OK, both mp3 and aac, as are 320k mp3 files from a local network source. The CPU load does not change when the problem occurs. Other players have no problem with any feeds.
