.dsf music stutters with IQAudio Dac+

Postby barachlo » 08 Aug 2015, 04:27

Hi there,

I get getting stuttering and drop-outs whenever I try to play .dsf files via RuneAudio and using the IQAudio optimised settings..are there any command line setting to improve this problem?

I don't have the issue when i play the same files through my Oppo 103 or Pono player..

Thanks

Hi barachlo,

the IQAudio Pi-Dac+ does not support native DSD playback,
so realtime DSD to PCM conversion is required.

This is too much load for the older Raspberry Pi,
even with the new RP2 there are some drop-outs.

So its a matter of 'enabling' dsd in runeaudio, settings? Its a bit of a disappointment the extra DAC cant do dsf..
