device not saving wifi credentials -- no connection

I am using an RPI b 3 with the v0.3-beta (23/03/2016) release. Currently the unit is plugged into a monitor via HDMI, and I am using a Logitech keyboard to navigate through the UI. I do not have any touchscreen devices to wire to the RPI, but with some care and extra patience I am able to navigate just fine with the keyboard.

When I get to the network page, I can find my wifi network, correctly enter my password, and navigate to the "save" button. However, when I click or press enter, the device is not saving my password and the status still stays disconnected.

I have cleaned the SD card, repartitioned etc and rewritten the image. What else can I try here?

I don't have an ethernet cable in the house, but I can order one if that's just the way things go. Thanks for the help!

Hi asilker,

device is not saving my password

This is a known issue with that image.
Change the settings from DHCP to static IP and fill in the missing values (you can use 0.0.0.0).
Change the settings back to DHCP and save your profile.

This should be solved with my latest image from here.

I tried this with my unit, but it still didn't save the wireless credentials.

I'm not running a 2, its an original B+ with a WiPi adapter for the wireless.

I might have been doing it wrong, so correct me if thats the case

1. connect via ethernet with dongle connected to USB
2. through the webUI, access network settings, set DHCP to static (with 0.0.0.0 in the ip fields), save and apply
3. set back to DHCP, save and apply
4. try to reconnect to wireless

the image for the RP1 is very old and needs to be updated.

In case more people are revisiting this issue, I did go on to install the updates image mentioned in this post and then the save feature worked properly without need for any weird manipulation
