configuring an Allo Piano 2.1 dac

Postby matt » 25 Jul 2017, 06:25

Hi,
i'm keen on the piano 2.1 but was wondering how difficult it is to change the outputs eg. change from 2.1 to 2.0
Allo claims to have made an app but I can't find any info on it, maybe there is info supplied with the board?
Or is it the purepass process flow that is used to change settings?
thanks
Matt

With my latest image for the RP2/3 it should be very easy to do this.
- alsamixer can be accessed via UI

Hi,

I would like to set the Piano DAC 2.1 into the "dual-mono" mode (<- thats not the 2.0 setting within alsamixer)

After researching, it seems that either RuneOS needs an more recent Linux kernel a/o the Piano DAC 2.1 an firmware update by ALLO (!?)

So far, if i try to activate it via SSH shell, it says that the command is unknown..
This example below shows what it should be:

root@x ~# amixer -c 0 sset "Dual Mode" "Dual-Mono"
Simple mixer control 'Dual Mode',0
Capabilities: enum
Items: 'None' 'Dual-Mono' 'Dual-Stereo'
Item0: 'Dual-Mono'

Did anyone try to get the Piano Dac 2.1 running in "Dual Mono" Mode with Runeaudio Beta 04?

Thanks in advance

HW: RaspberryPi2 / Kali Recklocker / Allo Piano DAC 2.1
SW: RuneAudio latest release (04-Beta)
