config.txt

Postby GingerBen » 07 Sep 2018, 18:46

Hello everyone,

My first post so be gentle - lol!

I've just install runeaudio for the first time and it's all okay but my rasberrypi 7" touch screen is unside down while I know how to flip it but I can't figure our how to access the config.txt

I'm probably just being stupid or missing something but can someone please tell me how i get into the config.txt

I've tried root and rune on the login it brings up something else but it boots too quick for me to see what it is, I tried switching off the local host to stop the quick boot but then it won't let me type in a password!

Any ideas or help?

Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,

welcome to RuneAudio.

To edit config.txt you can try this:

- put your sd card back in your PC and use notepad++ to edit the file

- disable the local browser option temporarily (see the settings page)

- or try to get access to the console via network (the best option)

Frank

- Get access to the console:
Use SSH from your PC
If you are not familiar with SSH read this for Windows or this for Linux/MacOS
The default login for RuneAudio is "root" with the password "rune" (without quotes).

- Use sftp to access files on Rune Audio:
Get WinSCP from here and install it.
When it opens setup the following:
- Session
File Protocol: SCP
Host name: The IP address of your Raspberry Pi
User name: root
Password: rune

That's it, connect and you can transfer files just by dragging and dropping.
