Chrome shows strange behaviour

Postby AndyF » 03 Apr 2018, 13:03

I´ve got some strange behaviour with Chrome-Browser and RuneUI:
- Buttons for scrolling on bottom don´t work at all
- In library if I click on the last entry of some long list, the resulting sub-list is in bottom-scroll-postion, too. I´d expect top-position.

Firefox (on Windows and Android) works as expected.

The most strange thing: It depends only on user-agent-string. If I spoof Chrome to Firefox-String, all works fine.

On Windows spoofing is a solution - on Android it´s impossible without root.
And Firefox for Android don´t support WebApps without https.

I´m using 0.4b image (build: 20170229) with modifications from here:
http://www.runeaudio.com/forum/runeaudio-0-4-beta-for-raspberry-pi2-3-t4434-290.html?hilit=runeui.zip#p21552

Any ideas to solve this?

regards,

Andy

Hi Andy,

Any ideas to solve this?

Yes, "jquery.scrollTo.min.js" has to be updated for Chrome to work properly.

Replace the file "/srv/http/assets/js/vendor/jquery.scrollTo.min.js" with
jquery.scrollTo.min.js.zip
(1.42 KiB) Downloaded 441 times

It has to be unzipped first.

Frank

- Get access to the console:
Use SSH from your PC
If you are not familiar with SSH read this for Windows or this for Linux/MacOS
The default login for RuneAudio is "root" with the password "rune" (without quotes).

- Use sftp to access files on Rune Audio:
Get WinSCP from here and install it.
When it opens setup the following:
- Session
File Protocol: SCP
Host name: The IP address of your Raspberry Pi
User name: root
Password: rune

That's it, connect and you can transfer files just by dragging and dropping.

Hallo Frank,

thanks a lot! :D

Chrome works like a charm now (but Firefox seems to be faster - Is there hope to get WebApp with Firefox?).

Perhaps it´s time for another image with updated files?

Andy

Hi Andy,

Perhaps it´s time for another image with updated files?

Yes, I hope to be able to make one soon.

If you like you can try also these files:
runeui.js.zip
(36.95 KiB) Downloaded 434 times

it should fix the sorting issue with Chrome.
Unzip and copy them to "/srv/http/assets/js"

Hi Frank,
If you post a new image will it be on the google drive link on the first page of
the 0.4 beta page, or somewhere else?

The last one I have and can find is.
RuneAudio_rpi2_rp3_0.4-beta_20170229_2GB.img

Thanks for one of the best app's .
Good luck on future development.
