Can I add bluetooth to Raspberry Pi 1B+?

Postby SilverBlade » 05 Jan 2019, 18:03

Can I add something like this https://www.amazon.ca/Bluetooth-V4-0-3-Wireless-Raspberry-Compatible/dp/B00E38N7QE to my Raspberry Pi (1B+) to give it bluetooth so that it can receive a bluetooth signal?

Hi SilverBlade,

There is no good implementation for Bluetooth in RuneAudio. All the correct bits of software are pre-installed in RuneAudio 5.0b, but there is no user interface. I have been able to get it to work on a Pi Zero W, but not on any other model.
You will need quite a lot of time (and programming skills) to get this working.

That could be kind of cool, but honestly the only Bluetooth source would be my phone which has lower res MP3 copies of some of the FLAC files already accessible to my Rune via my NAS.
