auto-update. Does it work? How does it work?

Postby pmoorhead » 10 Mar 2015, 23:37

Hi. I'm running several Pis with different set ups. Some run Runeaudio and some MPD/MPC only. My music is on a NAS device (QNAP).
I add, or move music, on the NAS on an almost daily basis.
The rune devices do not seem to detect these changes automatically - I have to force an update from the UI.
Some of the other devices didn't always detect changes either so I added an mpc update to crontab.

Should it be working with Rune? if not, should I just schedule mpc update for every couple of hours?

Slightly unrelated - I have found that when I enable auto-update from the Rune UI, and then save, the device/browser often hangs for a long time. Sometimes I reboot the Pi because of this. I've checked the mpd.conf files on the devices afterwards and the update setting is correctly set to "yes".
