The update badge bug was fixed.
Please run Addons Menu to update.

Thanks rern, it looks OK now. Useful facility, too.

I notice from the Addons menu itself that there's an update to the Lyrics addon, but there was no red circle on the main screen indicating an update. Did this feature get removed?

Addons Menu checks for updates when:
- once a day at 01:00 AM
- power on (for those who power off when not in use)
- run Addons Menu (for new updates before next 01:00 AM check)

If you close Addons Menu without updating available ones, the badge will be there.

You can emulate it by:
Code: Select all
redis-cli hset addons lyri 20180401

Open Addons Menu > It will check for updates again and show RuneUI Lyrics with update icon - button.
Close Addons Menu without updating > The badge shows.
Update RuneUI Lyrics > The badge is gone.

That doesn't work for me for some reason. Is there any debug info I can provide?

Hi Ian,

Addons Menu displays update badge by:
- Check whether “bartop”, an element of RuneUI Enhancement exists.
- If it does, RuneUI Enhancement will take control of the badge . (single database access instead of twice)
- Otherwise Addons Menu manages the badge by ifself.

I assume you have installed and uninstalled RuneUI Enhancement when it still missed to remove the “bartop”. Install and uninstall again will fix it.

Try:
- Install RuneUI Enhancement
- SSH: redis-cli hset addons update 3 (Bash Command addon can run the command as well)
- Back to Playback page, the badge shows.
- Addons Menu > Back to Playback page, the badge is gone.
- Uninstall RuneUI Enhancement
- SSH the command again.
- Back to Playback page, the badge shows.

Your assumption was right, I had installed-uninstalled the Enhancements.

Following the sequence you give has restored the Updates circle. When I ran the code the update circle initially showed 3 updates but when I openned and close the Addons menu it then correctly shows 1 update.

One odd thing, when I'd installed the Enhancements, the volume 'control' showed 'NaN' in the centre, not the volume level. When I adjusted the volume it then showed the numeric level.

Thanks for your help and thanks again for the great work you're doing with these add-ons.

Hello from Mexico, 1st post here...
I installed the addons menu but I had to go back (even from scratch and make a new image).
I’m running beta 0.4; when I get the addons and graphical UI enhancements I cannot get spotify to load. I’ve tryed with and without upgrading MPD and with and without other addons like lyrics.
If I uninstall the addons altogether, then the previous interface gets all messed up especialy with library items.
Is there a work around this?
Thanks

Hi alecs123,

I've been away for a while and will be back mid May. I can't do anything until then. May be someone could lend a hand.
