I think it's fair to assume that this project is dead since every deadline has been pushed back and now it's well over a year since the last beta - no previews or open testing of the new features either.

I migrated over to another fork which is far better - http://moodeaudio.org/

Well I find this kind of sad :/ because I felt like it is the right thing for my RPi1 but seems like you are right ... nothing changing on GIT only seldom replies in Forum and overall little activity

I guess I have to check for alternatives :/ well maybe it will be revived some time in the future

RuneAudio is far from being an inactive or even worse a dead project. In the last months we have been working on an almost complete refactor of the code, and a alpha version of the result is likely going to be published soon. We haven't disclosed many details on it only to avoid hype and further pressure (we've been quite busy with work and personal stuff), but we are making good progress. So don't lose your faith in RuneAudio :)

Thanks for the heads up. As you can imagine, communication is difficult to balance. talk too much and your labeled as vaporware as soon as your first shipping date slips.... talk too little and users feel abandonned.

Good luck guys!

Given how great a facility the current version provides (for free it should be noted), I think it reasonable to have some patience on the next build.

Really looking forward to seeing what you guys are working on.

Keep it up!

These people are working hard, no one is paying them.... I feel ashamed to ask for something that's freely given. I humbly wait until it's offered. The version I'm running is a few months old and it works a charm. Why rush the developers, or try to, when they will let us know when it's ready. Are we so selfish that we cannot wait for something that's freely given? Why release a .1 or .2 update when a full update, a reworking, tested and finalised, would benefit us so much more? Would you rush your mom (or wife) when she's cooking your favorite dish? Why rush these people, seriously. Give it a rest, enjoy what you have.... freely given, from the heart, and with love.

Edit: ACX > Love and peace to you bro!
