0.3 Beta loose eth0 config after mpd settings update

Having used Volumio for some time now I am trying Rune but have run into a problem. I have tried multiple fresh installs of Rune 0.3 20141029 onto a Pi B with Hifiberry.

I change the IP to static via the gui, enable the i2s hifi berry and add a NAS share. All works ok.

A Terminal ifconfig shows the eth0 s static and the ip I have set.

Then I change the MPD config to auto update the database, clik on save and then loose the Pi on the network. A terminal ifconfig shows the eth0 does not have an IP set anymore or a dhcp. No ip address is shown.

Any ideas why a gui settings update would looses the network connection?
